Just guessing: If you use PersistentFieldPropertyImpl (do you?) as PersistentFieldClass (declared in OJB.properties), your member variables have to comply with the JavaBeans specification, which imho says that attribute names have to start with a lower case letter. Maybe that's an explanation for OJB's behaviour ?
