The settings for the PersistenceBroker pool seems ok to me. What is the 
problem here?

Below you post the settings of the connection pool. The connection pool 
settings can be set within the 'jdbc-connection-descriptor' element 
using 'connection-pool'

            whenExhaustedAction="0"
            validationQuery="select count(*) from OJB_HL_SEQ"
        />
What are the problems here? Can you describe a little more?
