I use jasper Reports with OJB and it is easy to interface : You make a customized datasource using collections extracts from Ojb.
I have also posted a barcode extension for jasper Reports http://compiere-mfgscm.sourceforge.net/ You can use iReports to design reports for jasper Reports I have also made exn extension for barcode in iReports. If you download iReport ja you have every things.

I think all 3 of these tools use an xml based syntax. I have played around w/ then a little, but not enough to offer any advice. I don't think any integrate directly w/ OJB, but you could probably write a wrapper for the OJB Report Query class for use with the tools. Good luck.
