Mhm, sounds like the version of the build file doesn't match the version of the source. Do you use a CVS checkout ?


I agree with you precisely on the documentation.   I had a hard time telling what
was required with this release without trying to compile it and then it tells
me the jar files are missing.    For the 1.0 release, this really needs to be fixed.
I've been an OJB user for a long time and still find this annoying.

IMO with the 1.0 a user usually shouldn't need to build OJB from source anymore, at least not for normal use (OJB as a lib) and for starting a new OJB project (ojb blank will be available as a prebuild jar).


I don't see any mention of "forrest" in the documentation.

Forrest is rather new (rc7 and newer). The doc is a bit behind as we were concentrating on the release (compiled doc will be packaged separately to make updates of doc-only easier). We'll update the doc once the 1.0 is released.
