Currently JDO 1.0.1 implementation does not support integration in managed environments. This will be done when JDO 2.0 api was released.
PB-api and ODMG-api support integration in managed environments (JTA TxManager hook).
By the way, current JDO implementation is not ready for use in production environment (PB-api or ODMG-api is recommended)
Is there any performance bottlenecks. I am going to use only oracle database. So should i go for JTA?
If you only use one DB there is no need to use JTA a implementation (appServer or JOTM) which provide distributed tx support.
Can you please let me know good resources/ tutorials on these...
