I think these comments would be fair for a commercial product, but you have
to remember that this is the open-source world, and people arnt paid to
answer questions in forums, it's entirely voulantary.  When i'm not too busy
i often respond to messages on various lists (when i know the answer).  My
company doesnt complain at this use of my time as we rely on open source
projects like ojb, tomcat, struts.

I think that most questions get answered, especially the simple ones.  But i
think one thing that makes ojb so different to many other open source
projects is that it covers a huge range of stuff.  I have been using ojb for
well over a year now, and probably havn't even looked at 80% of it's
functionality.  I've mostly used the PB api, and apart from some
experimentation with ODMG i havnt used the other APIs.  I think it would be
fair to say that the majority of people on this list wouldnt have a clue as
to the answer of the majority of questions.  I certainly dont!
