default values in sql

Is there a way in the repository.xml file to get OJB to query the 
database and always return a default value for a column?
Something similiar to the query below:

select 'test' as test_name
from <table>
-- bobby

---------------------------------------------------------------------

For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
