This is an incorrect assumption. OJB accesses attributes using
implementations of the interface
org.apache.ojb.broker.metadata.PersistentField. The above rules are correct
for the default implementation
"org.apache.ojb.broker.metadata.PersistentFieldDefaultImpl". I myself use
PersistentFieldMaxPerformanceImpl which uses reflection, as opposed to
javaBean getters and setters. This can be configured in the OJB.properties
file.

AFAIK your other assumptions are correct.
