When I ran bin/build.sh junit from ${OJB_HOME}, I got the following
errors(I have enclosed only that portion of the messages constituting
errors),

Release 0.9.7 ships with 0 failing testcases.
So I assume you have some setup / configuration problem.
please post the test run results (target/test/tests-*.txt) to see more
details.
