I can also reproduce a ClassNotPersistanceCapable (or similar) if I webstart my ojb client, but only if webstart console is not enabled. The app runs fine with log enabled and outside webstart. If found this http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4665132.html seems you are right. are there any possible workarounds? i'm not very experienced with classloaders, so i really haven't a idea how to fix that.
