We are using OJB CVS for our development - partly due to the fact that our completion schedule puts us out far enough to make that safe, partly due to the fact that we tend to need the latest and greatest fixes ;-)
On the whole, it has been reasonably safe, only a few times have there been updates that took me any significant time to figure out what got broken. the OJB team is pretty good about making sure what they check in works at least as well as what was there before!
