It is also possible to run the ODMG transaction manager in distributed mode. You just have to configure usage of the Persistent Lock Manager in OJB.properties.

I looked into the caching mechanism in OJB, and in order to synchronize caches across Weblogic instances in a cluster, I can probably use Multicast to communicate with caches in each WLS instance, and rewrite ObjectCacheDefaultImpl.java to add this feature?
