Dear OER colleagues, Today is the deadline to to apply for OpenCon2014: The Student and Early Career Researcher Conference on Open Access, Open Education and Open Data <http://www.opencon2014.org>, which will take place in Washington, D.C. November 15-17, shortly before the Open Education Conference <http://openedconference.org/2014/>. We’ve already received over 1,600 applications from more than 120 countries, so it’s shaping up to be a diverse and stimulating event! Students and early career researchers interested in attending should submit their applications by tonight at 11:59 U.S. Pacific Time at www.opencon2014.org/apply. Please spread the word to help activate the next generation of open advocates! Organized by the Right to Research Coalition and SPARC, OpenCon 2014 is the student and early career researcher conference on Open Access, Open Education, and Open Data and will be held on November 15-17, 2014 in Washington, DC. The meeting will convene students and early career researchers from around the world and serve as a powerful catalyst for projects led by the next generation of openness advocates. The program includes three days of talks, workshops and in-the-field advocacy training on Open Access, Open Education and Open Data.
