The biggest problem is getting the word out there, to the right people, which varies from council to council -- many places is the web dept, in others the returning officers, in others ... well, you get the picture. So trying to cover all bases, but there more people we get talking about it, the better (and if you've got any contacts then do spread the word to them).

The good thing is the approach will work with other elections (e.g. Mayoral), and potentially in other countries. I've registered openelectiondata.org (because I needed a domain to namespace some of the RDF) etc, but if we could get the word out that'd be the best thing.

Cheers
Chris

Thought the list might be interested in this new project I've started
(with support from many people/orgs) in local govt. Details on the
blog post announcing it:

Dear Chris,

This is a fantastic project -- well done on getting this going. From
reading the blog post my understanding is that what "work" there is to
be done is inside councils (viz updating their results with RDFa ...).
Is there anything the rest of us should be doing?

Regards,

Rufus
