Done! Thanks for the suggestion. I also use the wikichat, wikilog, widget and
social profile extension. This allows each open textbook to have it's own chat
room, discussion page, seminars and open journals which you can embed with
videos and presentations. We are working on an extension that will
collaboratively allow us to create test questions on the wiki, peer review
them and than export them to Moodle in GIFT format. If you or anyone else with
wiki experience are interested in the project and would like be an
administrator shoot me an e-mail with a link to your info.

Looks like a potentially great project. Cool that you're using Semantic
Mediawiki!

I see in the footer of http://en.einstein-university.org/Main_Page the license
used is CC-BY-NC-ND. I'd suggest changing this immediately.

Unless you're getting copyright assignment from all contributors and enabling
mass collaboration through some other permission, ND may not work at all.

NC is generally suboptimal for educational resources, and specifically
disrecommended for everything by OKF, which seems particularly relevant given
this is their list. :-) See
http://www.opendefinition.org/okd/#8-no-discrimination-against-fields-of-endeavor

The license prevents collaborating with the vast universe of other open
educational projects, including Wikipedia, see
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/foundation/wiki/Resolution:Licensing_policy

Probably the most obvious license for you to use would be the one that
Wikipedia does, CC-BY-SA.

Hello all! Just launched a new site and would love to get your input.
Einstein University is a free online university/academic social network where
students and professors from around the world can share ideas, read each others
papers and collaborate on research. You can upload your photo, curriculum vitae
and up to four research papers. Instead of charging students tuition the
university funds itself through ad revenue and uses volunteer professors. Our
goal is to create hundreds of free open college textbooks. Check us out at
