pdf causing the error

Hello,
I have generated a diagram with R and displayed it in okular and acrobat
reader.
The diagram is displayed correctly in acroreader, but in okular there are
letters instead of the circles that I want.
If I convert the file with pdf2ps, okular shows the postscript file correclty.
