Given the history of comments on this bug I can really understand the developer's attitude here, but at the same time I would find it unfortunate if this bug is really being ignored for that reason. In my (humble) opinion this bug does represent a fairly important user experience flaw. All the comments that are in this report so far can't be undone unfortunately.
