Bug ID: 311373
Severity: normal
Version: 0.15.3
Priority: NOR
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: can't open paths containing spaces from CLI
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Status: NEW
Component: general
Product: okular
Okular opens files passed as CLI arguments in the viewer after startup. If you
pass multiple documents, multiple viewer instances open up. However if you pass
a document name containing spaces (even if it's correctly escaped or quoted)
then still n viewers will start, trying to open the document name split at the
spaces. I consider this behaviour a bug.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. rename any pdf file to "a b.pdf" (without the spaces)
2. type okular "a b.pdf" or okular a\ b.pdf
Actual Results:
two instances of okular with error messages open up, trying to open "a" and
"b.pdf"
Expected Results:
okular opens "a b.pdf"
