  Ok. Yet, I'm still new to QT, but I'll try to implement that. If I correctly 
understand you, you want the whole pages to be as small as possible, when you 
scale down the document and all of them could be visible in the viewport.
  
  Do all agree to remove the "checkbox" for the automatic reduction of columns? 
Or it should be user-configurable? Or I just should enable it by default 
(okular.kcfg:138)
