This bug was mostly focused on the version of Okular based on Qt 4. Things changed since then, there have been other issues which were tracked on other bugs. Also, please note that the printing support depends on Qt and various issues has been solved starting from Qt 5.11, and others in the yet-to-be released Qt 5.12. I'm thus going to keep this specific bug closed.
