Personally I've started using Ctrl+S, F5 as *the* save keychord. I believe Thomas means "when the review toolbar is active" rather than a certain review tool is active. In my experience you can click links in browse mode and also when review toolbar is enabled too (F6). I can attest that frequent jumps are a very common use case in any sort of scientific reading. (It'd actually be a nice feature if you could follow links in new windows / tabs, or even with a popup preview in some part of the window in which you could annotate.
