Well this is really bad. Today I tried to work on the Strugatsky brothers, who are entered in the database with dozens of different spellings. Even if I go into each author record and make all the spellings the same, I can't do an author search that will catch all the author records. Therefore, I can't merge all the variations into one. I give up. Good luck to anyone who wants more information on these writers. :-(
