I would not say that those features do not exist, only that they do not exist in the same form as they do at Wikipedia. Users can interact on this very list. That, of course, means that the users who are interacting have to be subscribed. I am not sure that a talk page is necessary for each Open Library page because the information that needs to be supplied by users is a lot mor basic and simpler than in a Wikipedia article. It is more like just filling in the blanks on a form rather than writing an entire complex article. As for a history of the pages you have worked on, look at your profile page. Your history is there.
