That's what I'm doing also.

I'm doing the same workaround also.  I first try using something a
little more covert, such as a period or hyphen at the end of the name.
 But if it still doesn't show up, then I put something like the birth
or death year or occupation in the name, which I will recognize.  But
it is the same idea.
