Not at all inappropriate. All of the forms will be linked together, but unless the names are merged the editions are unlikely to get merged together into a single work.
You've probably seen that when you click on "merge authors" it shows you how many editions are linked to each form of the name. If you don't know of any reason to do otherwise, you can opt to link all forms of the name to the one form that has the most editions (which is usually given already as the default master name). If all factors are equal then you get to choose one by whatever criteria you wish. happy merging! kc Quoting Alan Merryweather <[email protected]>: > Hi, > > This is the same man. > > William Mann > > William S Mann > > William Somervell Mann > > Books are listed under all three names. > > Presumably where the style of name is different, merging is inappropriate? > > TKS > > Alan Merryweather > > -- Karen Coyle [email protected] http://kcoyle.net ph: 1-510-540-7596 m: 1-510-435-8234 skype: kcoylenet _______________________________________________ Ol-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.archive.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ol-discuss To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send email to [email protected]
