I can't tell you why it disappeared, but I can tell you how to find what it was. You need to look into the history, to see previous values in the records. The deceptive part is that there is a history for both the work level and the edition level, even if there is only one edition for the work, as in this case. Since the display attempts to give a combined view when there is only one edition for the work, it can be confusing to figure out whether you are looking at the work display or the edition display. Two hints: 1) if it says "TITLE (1 edition)" at the top, you are seeing the work page. If it says "1 edition of TITLE", you are seeing the edition page. 2) if the URL ends in OLnnnnnW, you are seeing the work. If the URL ends in OLnnnnnM, you are seeing the edition. To find past values of edition-level fields, like weight, you need to inspect the history on the edition page, not the work page. Use either the history list at the bottom of the page, or the history link at the top right. In this case, I found the old value in version 4 of the edition record: http://openlibrary.org/books/OL16629523M/Berlioz?v=4 and http://openlibrary.org/books/OL16629523M/Berlioz?b=5&a=4&_compare=Compare&m=diff That shows the old value of 1lb 10oz pounds for the book - Alan _______________________________________________ Ol-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.archive.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ol-discuss To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send email to [email protected]
