What I had in mind was not quoting from Wikipedia, but linking to it. Like <a href=http://openlibrary.org/authors/OL136518A>this</a>. I shouldn't think this would need attribution. Note that Wikipedia also features works, like <a href=http://openlibrary.org/works/OL1340645W>this</a>. In that way the Wikipedia crowd would manage the descriptive data and OL would manage the book content and the bibliographic data. And of course enthusiasts could work in both groups. This partnership could be formal, with Wikipedia linking to OL whenever OL linked to Wikipedia, and vice versa.
