Sorry, I should have posted a link to the edit history. OpenLibrary distinguishes between what it calls "work" records which contain the information that is common to all editions and the edition records. You're looking at the edition record, but I edited the work record.
Here's the edit: https://openlibrary.org/works/OL4305807W/Classroom_assessment_techniques?b=4&a=3&_compare=Compare&m=diff Note that there are several duplicate author records for the author I added to the work, but since OpenLibrary has restricted the author merge function, there's nothing that can be done about them. https://openlibrary.org/search/authors?q=k+patricia+cross Tom On Wed, Jun 10, 2015 at 8:32 AM, Joseph Reagle <[email protected]> wrote: > Thank you Tom, but I'm new to OL and a bit confused. > > On 06/09/2015 09:26 PM, Tom Morris wrote: >> If you try your same API URL again now, you'll see both authors. >> Comparing against the web UI should be the first thing you check if >> you doubt what the API is telling you. > > I actually don't see any change in the Web UI's diff? > > https://openlibrary.org/books/OL1729544M/Classroom_assessment_techniques?b=12&a=11&_compare=Compare&m=diff > _______________________________________________ > Ol-tech mailing list > [email protected] > http://mail.archive.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ol-tech > Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ > To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send email to > [email protected] _______________________________________________ Ol-tech mailing list [email protected] http://mail.archive.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ol-tech Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send email to [email protected]
