To be clear, how about allowing Open Library to be one of the things it was *designed* to be in the first meeting, before it changed its mind and became just "one page for every book"—namely, a way for libraries to free themselves from a sub-Microsoft data monopoly, and share what they create not just with web pages, but with libraries.
