David, As you are probably aware, the GB books are included in IA and are linked to OL records. However, there are digital books that are in IA but not in OL - in particular, the project Gutenberg books. So your texts with have overlap with OL but will also provide new access.
I think it would be important to emphasize the corrected texts when you link them, possibly in the display title for the link. kc On 2/25/13 11:06 AM, David Cuenca wrote: > Hi! > On Wikisource.org, the free library, we are looking for possible > partnerships with other organizations. > We are accumulating a huge quantity of public domain book > digitalizations (some from IA, some from GB, another ones made by our > contributors) and it would be great to put up a mechanism to share them > through OL. > > Additionally, we have also volunteer proofread texts based on these > books, which could make sense to link as well. > > What is your view on a possible collaboration? > > Cheers, > David > > > _______________________________________________ > Ol-tech mailing list > [email protected] > http://mail.archive.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ol-tech > To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send email to > [email protected] > -- Karen Coyle [email protected] http://kcoyle.net ph: 1-510-540-7596 m: 1-510-435-8234 skype: kcoylenet _______________________________________________ Ol-tech mailing list [email protected] http://mail.archive.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/ol-tech To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send email to [email protected]
