Thanks, Karen. I'm really happy to hear that. I visited the Internet Archives recently and spoke with the person who would be the liaison with libraries wanting to use OL records (can't remember her name) and one reason libraries have not used OL more extensively, she reported, is because they could not select records. The idea of taking the whole kit and kaboodle and uploading a million records into their ILS was objected to (not on technical grounds but on selection grounds). I am dismayed by that.
If you are going to talk to Alma about incorporating some or all of the records, I'd also recommend talking to Bibliocommons. They have something going with ebooks took. I'd love to help if there is something a non-technical but tech-savvy person can do. I think this is a big missed connection and I'd like to support both IA efforts and libraries by getting these two together. And who will do a program at CLA???!!
