You should be able to upload any file to the Internet Archive. After that, OL programmers will need to process the file.
If the Archive's FTP interface isn't working you can try the web-based upload after you log in: http://archive.org/create/ At the moment, no files are being imported into OL because of work being done on the backend structure. It would be good if you could give detailed information on your file for when import is running again.
