I just published an OpenLayers add-on here: https://github.com/ccri/ol3-async-source You can read a little bit more about the problem I was trying to solve in my Stack Overflow question <http://stackoverflow.com/questions/38338837/asynchronous-imagecanvas-source>, but the basic idea is that I'd like to use a WebWorker to generate image data for a canvas, rather than always generating the data synchronously. Is there any interest in pulling this into OL3 in a PR? or should I just leave it as an add-on?
