Hi Poul, I've been working on such an interface for a mobile project with OL2. You can see it on Github: http://ignf.github.io/tactileo-quest/ You have to touch the compass at the bottom-right corner and drag it to move the map. The trick was inspired by triceam: https://github.com/triceam/PhoneGap-Legends I've planned do it with OL3 to but not yet started...
