Ken,

In an interview with "Doc" Watson about the Hurst Olds, he states that "the 
cars already had the 455's in them". You can see that interview on reruns on 
Speed TV of The American Muscle Car, episode called "Performance by Hurst". I 
have copies of that show in tape if you need further "proof".
