How about ON STAR listening in on all your conversations, when YOU think it's off? Talk about scary.
The onboard system will not currently support that. It *must* be activated by you. The same goes for the GPS locating capability in all new cellphones. You must contact 911 before it can be activated by the 911 operator/dispacher. There are many 911 jurisdictions that do not have that ability yet.
