======================

What year?
It varies by year
1964 -only- all were 4-spd MT cars, even the 4-drs [4-4-4-2?] with a 330 engine.
starting 1965, Auto Trans was available but motors were all B400's
  therefore 400-4bbl-2x for 1965
ditto for 1966-67, and in '66 it's a bit of a misnomer for the W30's with 6-bbl carburetion! 462?

The 442 became a separate MODEL CAR for the first time in 1968 :-)
with the VIN actually denoting a 442 model, not just an option on a Cutlass model.
Still 400-4bbl-2x

1970 saw the 455 introduced, so 442 = 455, 4-bbl, 2x

1971 was the last year that the 442 was its own series

1972 was so varied and diluted that you could order a "real" 442 with a 350-2bbl motor. Wife's boss at the newspaper in Davis CA had one. Just like mine only 1972 and no-balls drivetrain.

that's the quick 411

I know of no great link

my web page if I ever make one I guess.
