It's a lie. There was ***no*** option for putting a 455 into a '68-'69 442. Yes, the dealer could install a 455 the buyer purchased through the parts department, as per the previous arguement over 425s in '65 442s, but that's it. The auction is a fraud.

Does somebody want to challenge the seller to prove it? He must show the option code and the window sticker.

Subject: 69 442 with # matching 455?

Check this item currently on Ebay 4624850371
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't all 69 442's come with only 400cu.in.
Engines? The old GM rule nothing over 400Cu.In. in an A body during the
60's.
As far as I'm aware there are only 2- 69 Hurst Olds convertibles that came
with the 455 engine.

Could this have been a dealer installed option? Special order, top secret
like the Yenko Cameros with 427's?
Or just a con man with some time on his hands and metal numbers punch!

This is the second person that I've come across on Ebay with a numbers
matching 69 455. The last one was about 7 years ago in Florida. Belonged to
a guy in the Air Force.
