Just floating around on musclecarclub.com and was reading wcodes; www.musclecarclub.com/musclecars/oldsmobile-442/oldsmobile-442-tech.shtml
qoute; b-09 Sure start with and option that doesn't begin with W! Since this option designated the very first 442 in 1964, this is the perfect place to start. The 442 actually started life as the Police Persuit package. Which believe it or not, resulted in 10 4-door 442's being built( no word on whether these were known as 4442's). Anyway, what this code got the buyer was a 330ci, v8 with a 4-barrel carb.(rated at 310hp), a 4-speed tr4ansmission and dual exhaust-- hence the name . Also thrown into the mix was higher rate springs, front and rear sway bars and hd cooling"
some more about old cop cars to add to the
mix!!!!!!!!!!!

What kind of crack is that, Joe?
:-)
Actually, I have seen the inside of a few LPD cars, but did not document the
events, nor the cars.
Has I known Olds was going to fade, I would have photo'd the fleet every now
and then over the years
I do have pix of the "LPD" 4dr 72? Cs from the 2004 Nats in MN.
Interest?
