Not sure what the other years looked like, but I know 70-72 Cutlasses and
442's had a couple of "straps" or "hooks" that the cable was secured by on the
inside of the door. I would say these fasteners *should* be present in any
70-72 door. Look inside the door through the top of the window opening and
you should see them. Simply slip the cable into the hook and route it in
front
of the window and you should be good to go.
