Hello all-
But...it seems that there's no "in between" my 22cc dish aftermarket
pistons and flat-tops.
Yes there is - the TRW/Sealed Power/Speed Pro L2321F forged 5.8 cc dish
pistons. These are the replacements for the "10.25:1 compression ratio"
engines. Summit carries them for $49.95 each.
Oh. I must have missed those when I went through the Summit catalog. Comes
at a price though...$450. I paid only $85 for my set of 22cc's... W/a 6cc
dish would bring me to 9.5:1 vs. 8.1:1. So...$450 would net me about a 5%
increase of 13hp.
Why don't they make 10cc pistons for us "in betweeners" so we can bump up
our compression?
I have a set of 12 cc dished TRW forged pistons. I was planning to use
them in my 400 E build, but I could be persuaded to let them go and get
the newly re-introduced L2321F 5.8cc dished version.
12cc pistons would get me to 8.9:1--precicely where I wanted to be but my
pocketbook is not good at persuasion. What size are those pistons?
Thanks,
Scotty
