Hello
Dont throw away the 650 carb.
My heads porter carb builder buddy always looks for the older small
ones.
Seems like most old things they are the better carb bodies.
He glues them up and grinds them out to flow 950 cfm, drills passages
ect, ect, bowl extensions,,four corner idle ect ,ect.
I am on my way for the beer and BBQ,,it may take me 2-3 days depending
on which car i drive.
Good luck!
Randy H.

Subject: Anyone want to help?
OK,
Seems that my 69 4 speed with about 4500 miles on the rebuild, has
already lost it's throw out bearing. It's only making noise so I
figured I would just replace it and the pilot bearing.
A friend of mine is telling me to go ahead and put in a button clutch.
I have a Double Force in it now. Which I can find no information on.
Anyone have an opinion on this. What is the choice clutch of the list?
I have a 461 in her now so it's beefed up a little, Lunati cam roller
rocker set up. Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley 650 4 barrel (too
small, it's next to go)
Also does anyone in the St Louis area have a lift in their shop I could
maybe beg, borrow or rent the space for an afternoon. I hate doing this
on my back, in my storage. In fact I may bring it to the house and just
do it in the drive. At least I have air here. They want 300 bucks to do
it at the shop.
And anyone that wants to help, come on over!! I have plenty of beer and
BBQ!!!!
In fact if someone needs an audio system for a party I would exchange
it for the work. Any takers? I would like to get it done today though.
It's beautiful here I want to drive!!!!!!
