Say what !?!?!?!?!?!?.
Yes, it's true !.
All these years we all thought Olds/GM had every pre-planned intention of
having their 1968 cars differ from their 1967's .... but apparently the REAL
reason is, at least for the Delmont 88 that is .....
All the bad press surrounding the Chappaquiddick tragedy.
Quite an amazing theory huh ?.
Especially when you consider the fact that the Chappaquiddick thing ...
didn't actually happen until July of 1969, which was long after ANY Delmont
88 rolled off the assembly line, & Olds/GM was probably already churning out
pieces for the 1970 model year cars, if they were not in fact already
throwing together a few completed 1970 cars.

The Eleanor Roosevelt story mentioned ..... I'm sure that's all entirely
true as well.
Course' there are a few other more Olds specific discrepancies .....
But they are no where near as entertaining as the above.
<rolling my eyes>
Seems like a nice car, tho I would have rather seen factory a/c & not that
goofy add-on unit.
Too bad the seller chose to use some "poetic license" in trying to sell it.
