I have experienced the same problem as discussed here. what does the list
recommend as is the good, better, best replacement pump for 1970 442 455.
I can't recommend which is the best mechanical fuel pump, because I only use
mechanical fuel pumps until I can install an electric fuel pump. The best
electirc fuel pumps are Carter/Sealed Power, P4070 (72 GPH - 4-5.75 psi),
P4594 (72 GPH - 7 psi), or P4600HP (100 GPH - 7 psi).
Carter does show the following mechanical fuel pump:
