Thanks to those that responsed, it seems to be working.  After 2 days of 
adjusting it's gone from 15 minutes fast to 7 minutes fast.

I've never fiddled with an F-85 or Cutlass clock, but the big car clocks 
were self regulating.  Just leave it powered up for a week or so and reset 
it every day until it is accurate. Most of them that I have had that 
worked were surprisingly accurate.
