Todd,   Could be stuck open valve, bad vacumn line, piece of crap stuck in spark plug, bent push rod, lot of things. Pull valve covers and check valve train, see if all is well. Have even popped the tops of lifters off. If all is well, drain down a qt of oil, add a qt of Marvel Mystery Oil per instructions and change the oil. Be suprised what results you get. Could have lifters hanging up etc. Will free them up.
