My question is, why would a generator (set) have a need for a rev limiter? These are generally governored to put out 60HZ AC. You would never want to cut pulses for this purpose. One missing pulse on a 2 cylinder is a big deal, and I have blown a muffler with a failing ignition that did that. BruceRoe
in a way Bruce, you have answered your own question.... I need this to stop if the governor stops working.... in my case, the fan belt came off... and there was nothing to stop her from going full tilt.... had I not just installed this new motor, and was breaking it in under about 15 amps.... she would have blown up.... the genset I am talking about is in my boat..... very importemt to have a shut down system in place just for this very reason....
