Hi greg
Changing the tank unit should solve your problem. I just had the tank out of
my 70 toronado. Getting it out was a not bad one man job getting it back in
took two of us

The tank I bought I found out is from a 70 Cutlass, mine has 2 lines on the
passenger side which one I followed is from the fuel pump, the other runs
from the driver side can't find where it goes to, as far as a canister who had
the car before me took it out which is capped at the end at the motor
compartment,on my tank there was one hose at the sender unit and a outlet on
the tank
next to the sender unit the other two are on both ends of the tank, this
perplexes me, I spoke to the guy I bought the tank from and he send to replace
the sender from my old tank to the new one don't know about that one, any
help on this, very tiring trying to hold and dropped that tank.
