I too have used greyhound, but also UPS. I shipped a fender from OK to CA for $75 or so on greyhound. UPS was to PA for $125 or so. I'm currently preparing to ship a decklid to PA for $90 on greyhound. I wrapped bubble wrap and cardboard around it and then tied it up with twine. It held up really well. I've also shipped 2 1/4's to OH via freight. They were crated in $50 of wood per crate. I got a disc. so I didn't shop around for a shipping price. They were heavy SOB's and large but rustfree sheetmetal is hard to find in OH:) Hope this helps someone.
