Milton, 400HP will arrive at 5600-6000rpm, no way you can have good low
end torque with this power in a small block. The car will move on ok, but
will move quickly only over 3500rpm, remember I drove such a beast almost
10yrs - with 3.73 gears and 3200rpm converter.
You can drive it, no problem, but: it swallows gas, it makes noise, and it
pulls strong only with a lot of rpms. Remember as well that you drive a 4
6 8 CI ( big one )

Matt, I'm going to have to politely disagree. Low end torque can be
preserved. A man by the name of David Vizzard knows how. I do a couple of
things differentently from him, but check out his article about compression
ratios in the June issue of Popular Hot Rodding. It can be done in a small
block.
